Media theorist Marshall McLuhan wrote, “We become what we behold. We shape our tools and then our tools shape us.” So what does it mean when our primary tool is digital technology? And what do we behold of the world through this tool? How does this tool shape our view of the world and our relationship to it? Are these tool shaped or used differently in different parts of the world, and why is this important?
